These are fun done in pairs, five minutes each, with or without a quick rest break between:

I know, I don’t know

I see, I don’t see

I remember, I don’t remember

I can, I can’t

I need, I don’t need

I have, I don’t have

I have a feeling, I have no idea

I need, I don’t need

I saw, I didn’t see

I was, I wasn’t

You get the idea.

Here are some other evocative writing prompts:

I have no idea how…

I have no idea why…

I can’t see how to…

I’m sure there’s no way to…

Listening deeply…

That place…

Lately…

If you really want to know…

What I really mean to say is…

Look…

I suspect…

My body knows.

I haven’t seen…

I recognize…

It feels so old…

I’d like a new…

You don’t seem to realize…

To look at me you’d never know…

I’m avoiding…

I can’t avoid…

Check back for more writing prompts, but these should take you a long way. By the way, I use these over and over again. It’s also great to begin keeping your own list of writing prompts. You can take them from your own writing. That’s a great way of deepening something you’ve already written.
